AHI ~ Tidbit #11

Everyone loves high water pressure, but the pressure in your home should be about 60 psi. High water pressure could damage plumbing fixtures in your home; I've seen sprinkler heads shoot out of the ground like a bottle rocket. Is it really worth the risk of running up a large plumbing repair bill? If your pressure is above 80 psi, consider having it fixed. A pressure reducing valve near your water meter may need adjusting or even replacing if you have an older home.
